Biography
Nawaf Barebood is an Artificial Intelligence undergraduate at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Saudi Arabia, specializing in deep learning and computer vision. He focuses on building and fine-tuning AI models for applications in medical imaging, autonomous perception, and predictive analytics, using PyTorch and modern machine learning frameworks. Passionate about model development and deploying efficient inference pipelines, Nawaf brings hands-on experience in Python, C++, and computer vision. In the Integrated Reef Fisheries Lab, Nawaf focuses on developing a computer vision model that estimates fish length and identifies species from image data, supporting more accurate and automated approaches to reef fish monitoring.
